Dude, Where’s My Car

In one of the funniest and bizaare news that I came across from the Mirror, a guy finally found where he parked his car after 2 years.

Parking your car then forgetting where you left it is one of life’s little annoyances, so spare a thought for one German man who took TWO YEARS to find his.

After a night of drinking in December 2010, the now 33-year-old man was unable to find where he had parked his car, according to the Inquisitor.

When he failed to locate the vehicle the next morning, he reported it missing to police in Munich.

The missing car was discovered by chance last month after a traffic warden noticed its inspection sticker had expired.

The elusive car was in a parking lot 2.5 miles away from where the craftsman thought he had parked and had searched two years earlier.

“The weird thing is that it turned up so far away, although the owner was pretty sure of where he had left it,” said police spokesman Alexander Lorenz told Reuters.

In the car boot were 40,000 euros ($51,600) worth of tools including power drills and electric screwdrivers, Lorenz said.

The news report did not mention of the driver’s use of marijuana, which is a plant-drug known to dull the memory. And this being the month of October, I can imagine how cautious he would be in celebrating Octoberfest … but all seemed well enough that the guy found his car again.

It’s just dope to be able to go around telling people:

Dude, where’s my car?
